How I lost about 4 pounds with this detox berry smoothie…

Yes, I have lost quite a few pounds. Because I was feeling low on energy, and bloated just before a heat wave hit Britain. So I decided to change my diet a little more, to make myself feel better again.

Not necessarily to lose weight, but I was also hoping for it, as I was quite bloated and a little and had some extra kilos which were bothering me personally. That’s why I consumed a few detox smoothies, reduced the number of processed foods even further, avoided alcohol and that was it.

NOTE: It is not great to lose too many pounds or kilos within a short amount of time though. So ensure to drink lots of fluids, and eat enough fruits, veggies, and other meals to not get into an unhealthy diet or detox. Better speak to your doctor first before making any diet changes. This is just my own experience and is not advice I am giving.

The difficult part was the first few days:

And after the first 2-3 days, when I saw some results I felt better. And even my bloating started to reduce itself. Also smoothies like these help with healthy digestion, which is another benefit of consuming smoothies more regularly, and which speeds up your weight loss goal as a side effect of a cleanse.

And after about 7 days, while I consumed this detox berry smoothie together with some other around 200 to 400 Kcal-based cleansing smoothies, I managed to feel better, more energised, and lose weight as well. So when the heat wave came, I just managed to fit more comfortably into my jeans, without feeling super uncomfortable in my skin.
But otherwise, I recommend these smoothies as part of a healthy overall diet, not as a strict detox.
